As a very conservative Republican myself, I have been humbled and convicted about my lack of praying for our President. I know that I should pray for him regardless of how I feel about his views and decisions. This book, Obama Prayer, has been just what I needed to help me focus on praying for our President. I appreciate so much the work that Garriott put into bringing scripture and prayers together to write this helpful prayer guide. There is a prayer at the end of every chapter that follows along with the theme of that chapter. As the book directs to even pray for the President’s friendships, I am reminded that he is a real person just like you and I. I highly recommend individuals and church groups to purchase this book to use as a prayer guide for President Obama and our nations future presidents.

Author Charles M. Garriott wrote: “This prayer book is a call for every thoughtful Christian in our land to respond to this administration as our Lord has intended. Christians may not get their political way. But they are expected to represent the Gospel in every sphere of life. Thoughtful, intelligent and persistent prayer for our leader is part of what it means for us to be salt and light in a needy world.”(pg.13)
