So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.
Colossians 2:6-7

Today I am "overflowing with thankfulness" to God for the joy that my children bring me!

Remembering Papa Mattox

Today is my Papa (Jimmy) Mattox's birthday. He passed away while we were living overseas. I miss him, and especially today on his birthday. I am thankful for the memories and pictures that I have to hold on to.

Giving thanks this day...
~for my son's excitement about his new school
~for my husband's employment
~for my baby girl's cute drooly face smiling up at me
~for a completely free (used, but still working) washer and dryer set that we are undeserving of
~for delicious vegetables and fruit given to us from gardens
~for the peace that passes all understanding (Phil.4:7)

For this and more I praise you, my Lord Jesus Christ.

baby shower for Jamie

Last week I gave a baby shower for my dear friend Jamie. She is expecting her second little boy next month. It was a great time of fellowship with friends that I had not seen in a long time!
