To my delight I found some okra in the grocery store this week! I had been telling Eric that I wanted some kind of home cooking from home. So I fried me up some okra last night and had a yummy taste from home. I'm about to take some to Maya to see if she wants to try it:)

I have to admit that okra has been one of my least favorite foods from the South. But I do enjoy eating fried green tomatoes. Yummy!!!
What else have you cooked from home?
Have you ever had peas with onion salad? that's very Chilean and also tomatoes with onion :) corn with mayo... i think the baby's hungry now. haha
I'm glad to hear you were able to find some food from home. It always makes a difference to find something from your home at a store in a different country.
